Barrel is stamped "RA943". Fairly standard, high condition mid-war Remington with the pressed steel parts, Springfield 1903 front sight, adjustable rear sight mounted on rear bridge, pressed steel trigger guard and floorplate, smooth steel buttplate with trap, walnut forend with no sighting groove, and two bolt Type C pistol grip stock (no inspector stamps). Metal retains 90% of the original war-time matte black-blue finish. Stock is excellent with usual minor dings. Has a World War II period steel frog sling with two keepers. Excellent bore.
