(A) An Eastern Flintlock half stock fowling piece. Two stage smoothbore barrel with sights mounted on top. Early Italian lock with chiseled leaf at tail and engraved borders. Engraved brass furniture include pierced trigger guard bow and sideplate with arms motifs. Walnut half stock in the Spanish style with carved molding and flutes and inlaid with Mother of Pearl, bone and brass inlays of various unique styles and shapes. Stippled panels on forend, wrist and buttstock. Good condition; lock and barrel retain a grey spotted patina. Touch hole has been relined. Stock very good with some wear and scattered marks front use. (B) A half stock Middle Eastern flintlock rifle with rifled octagonal barrel with swamped muzzle and sights mounted on top. Flat flintlock mechanism with banana shaped lockplate. Crudely made brass furniture and uniquely shaped carved buttstock with Eastern style checkering around wrist and forend. Steel ramrod. Fair condition; showing heavy use with scattered repairs and marks from use.
