A 19th century copy in the 16th style with signature "LANDSKNECHT" double edged flat blade with rounded tip. Stamped on the ricasso on left side "P. KRAUS / MUNCHEN". Distinctive figure-eight shaped guard featuring two serpents heads with engraved faces. Red leather wrapped grip with pommel of familiar form. Excellent condition; blade retains a light grey patina with some scattered light freckling. Guard retains a spotted grey patina. Pommel retains a dark patina. Grip in excellent condition.
