16th century style. Period tapered spear-point blade with two deep partial fullers and a series of piercings. Indistinct maker's markings in fullers. Symmetrical steel guard with quillons facing downward and an oval counter-guard on each side. Wooden grip with fluted spirals and faceted pommel with capstan. Very good condition; blade and hilt retain a grey spotted patina with some darker areas. Grip very good with a few scattered marks and age cracks.
