Round, smoothbore steel barrels with solid rib and Damascus finish. Patent breech engraved and decorated with silver bands, rib inlaid with silver scene of a hunter shooting a duck and an arrow around the front sight pointing towards the muzzle. Marked in center "LONDON TWIST". Twin percussion locks engraved with scrolls and both marked "BENTLEY & SONS". Partially figured walnut half stock with engraved steel trigger guard and buttplate, German silver barrel key escutcheons, nipple reservoir on bottom of buttstock, ramrod entry thimble, and vacant octagonal wrist escutcheon. Checkered wrist, double set triggers, and wooden ramrod with steel tip. Very good condition; barrel retains a mostly brown patina with some dark spots and traces of Damascus finish. Locks retain a dark patina. Stock very good with some scattered marks from use. A nice, honest 19th century double barrel shotgun.
