Detailed, handmade steel construction, functional visor and joints. Probably 19th century, proportionate and stylistically accurate, mounted on a wood base. Complete with steel miniature two-handed sword with a leather-wrapped grip. Stuffed torso and legs wrapped with period red velour, with some fading, woven gloves. Base retains a finish and shows some age, a few scattered marks. Armor retains a grey patina with some scattered marks and areas of rust. Plaster head has some chipping. Armor was very popular in the 19th century and if one could not spare the space or money for a full size suit, many had miniature suits made as an alternative. This example is well made and has a great authentic look. Measures about 30" tall, overall, including base.
GOOD MINIATURE VICTORIAN FULL SUIT OF ARMOR.
