In the 1800's, this foot operated bellows fire horn was originally meant to pump air in the helmets of mine workers. Later, it became an alarm after a more efficient air pumping device was invented. The same company, Siebe Gorman & Co. Ltd., invented the first diving mask and fire helmets. 1-3 pumps notify the type of response required. There is a light oak finish with the burgundy leather cracking on all sides and brass trumpet horn showing some wear. The device itself is being held up on a wire spring with the black pedal extending 4-1/2 inches from the base.

Condition: (Good).

Item Dimensions: 26"T x 9-1/2"W x 20"D.
