This early "clam shell" Mutoscope gets its name from the lovely scallop shell that adorns either side of the silver cabinet. For a cent, patrons could view "Little Egypt in her Hoochy Kootchy Dance, The Sensation of the Chicago World Fair". Viewers could control the speed of the film by cranking the handle. The machine is not currently working due to the state of the electrical cord and there is a broken leaf fond in the back. Circa 1895-1901. Four keys are provided.

Condition: (Good).

Item Dimensions: 19"D x 18"W x 64"T.
