In 1966, Winchester commemorated the 100th Anniversary of the Model 1866 repeating rifle with the Centennial 66 Commemorative rifle and carbine. This was the second commemorative manufactured, as the first was the 1964 Wyoming Diamond Jubilee, where they made 1500 guns. This rifle features a full 26” octagon barrel, full magazine, sporting sights, blue finish, and its chambered for the popular .30-.30 cartridge. The lever, trigger, loading gate, hammer, bolt, saddle ring and stud are also blue. The frame, butt plate and forend cap are gold plated. Barrel is engraved “A CENTURY OF LEADERSHIP 1866-1966”. Tang is engraved “WINCHESTER CENTENNIAL, 66”. This rifle is in as new, unfired condition in the original cardboard box with paperwork. Includes the original decorative sleeve that is in very good condition, better than most.
