Winchester introduced the Buffalo Bill rifle and carbine that bears his name in 1968. It is the only firearm authorized by the Buffalo Bill association. This rifle features: full octagon barrel, full magazine, sporting sights, blue enamel frame, blue lever, nickel plated butt plate, hammer, trigger, loading gate and forend tip. Buffalo Bill Commemorative in silver on the barrel. Light scroll engraving on right side frame with the famous “TE” Cody Ranch brand. The upper tang is engraved “W. F. Cody - Chief of Scouts” in silver. Right side of frame is engraved “Buffalo Bill” with a nickel saddle ring and stud. Fine American walnut stocks. This gun is in as new, unfired condition in the original box with all paperwork and an outer decorative sleeve that is in rough condition. Likewise the end label is very worn.
