Gun (A) U.S. H. Aston 1842 military pistol, single shot, round barrel, brass furniture, walnut stock, percussion system. This 1842 Aston is dated 1850. U.S. marked. Manufactured in Middleton, Connecticut. Bras has not been cleaned. All metal is grey patina. Walnut stock is excellent with two visible cartouches on left side. Missing ramrod swivel assembly and hammer screw. To make complete would be a fine example. Very good bore with black powder abrasion. Working order. All proper military proofs. Gun (B) scarce Wesson & Harrington nine shot, spur trigger, single action pocket revolver with nickel plating, bird's head grips. 70% original nickel finish. Fine working order. Tight lock-up. Poor bore. Razor sharp markings. Predecessor to Harrington & Richardson.
