23,000 manufactured 1850's to 1860's. Blued with walnut grips. Most of these revolver will be found with military inspector marks. This appears to be a civilian model as we can find to inspectors and no cartouche on the grips. There is a star stamped under the serial number on barrel. All metal is a smooth grey patina with sharp legends. Indexes but cylinder does not lock into place. Strong, clean bore. Excellent grips.
