Probably manufactured in Belgium, but not marked, this boot pistol was converted from flintlock to percussion. A most unusual has been installed which is shaped like a mouse with ears, eyes and nose. A manually operated nipple protector has been added. Octagon to round barrel approximately .46 smoothbore. Has checkered walnut bag handle, one piece. Pistol measures 8" with bayonet folded. Bayonet measures 3" and is activated by release behind trigger guard. Light engraving on frame. All metal is grey patina with freckling. Grips are very good to excellent. First we have seen of this type with the unusual mouse hammer.
