Steel colichemarde blade engraved at the forte with strapwork and florals. The silver hilt with indistinct hallmarks including the date letter for 1762; oval guard with gadrooned rim. Quillon block, quillon terminals, ferrules, knucklebow and ovoid pommel all with gadrooned decoration. Grip wrapped with silver bands wire and braided silver wire. Very good condition, blade with dark patina showing areas of light freckling and some wear to engraving, slightly crooked. Fine hilt, polished, some dark patina in protected areas and showing a few scattered light marks.
