Comprising: A) Circa 1840 NCO Sword with tapered straight double edged convex-faced blade engraved and etched with scrolls, military motifs, patriotic motifs, and eagles with "E. PLURIBUS UNUM" banners. Gilt detailed cast brass mounts with fluted bone grip and chain. Complete with gilt brass scabbard decorated with foliage scrolls. Very good condition, blade retains a spotted grey patina with some wear, mounts and scabbard excellent, with generous traces of gilt finish and show little wear, grip excellent. B) U.S. Model 1860 Staff & Field Officer's Sword with straight tapered diamond section steel blade, etched on one side with large "US" with scrolls and military motifs, the other with an eagle. Cast brass hilt with eagles on pommel and fixed guard, leather wrapped grip with braided brass wire. Complete with steel scabbard with cast brass mounts. Good condition, blade retains a spotted grey patina, brass components and hilt very dark, grip excellent, scabbard with much nickel finish and spotted patina.
