This lot consists of a loose 5.77 carat Ceylon oval sapphire. The sapphire is accompanied by a paper copy of the original GIA Sapphire Origin Report (report number 2125669438). This report is dated October 2010. Included in this report, GIA notes that the sapphire has the following measurements: 10.42 x 8.69 x 7.70 mm. The loose sapphire is a combination of a brilliant and step cut stone. It is also noted as being transparent, blue and a natural corundum. The report notes that the sapphire is MCT Type I and has indications of heating, however it does not appear that there is any residue from this treatment. When looking inside the stone, crossing needles are present along with slight abrasion on the surface of the stone. GIA believes that this sapphire is from Sri Lanka. Overall the loose stone is in good condition with normal wear present.

Condition: (Very Good - Excellent).
