Comprising: A) Percussion shotgun by D. Palmer, twin Damascus steel barrels with solid rib marked "FINE TWIST", scroll engraved percussion lockplates marked "D. Palmer". Walnut stock with period brass repair. Good condition with grey patina overall, scattered marks from use and some wear. 2) Percussion Cape gun or combination gun. Side by side barrels, one rifled, one smoothbore, patent breeches and solid rib marked "M. POWERS CLEV'D. O." Engraved tang with hole for peep sight, adjustable ramp rear sight on rib. Back action percussion lockplates with scroll engraving, double triggers. Brass furniture and rifle style half-stock of partially figured walnut, checkered wrist. Silver shield-shaped wrist escutcheon. Good condition, barrels and locks show some wear and have scattered marks from use, light grey patina with some freckling at breeches. Brass polished, stock refinished and with some scattered marks. A nice combination gun by a scarce Cleveland, Ohio maker.
