Gun A & B) Pair of Swiss Vetterli Military Model 1878 rifles. Both have 33” barrels and are chambered for the 10.4x42R rimfire cartridge. Both have all visible matching numbers, excellent walnut stock with checkered forends, smooth blue to brown patina, original cleaning rods in fine working order, near mint, sharp, shiny bores. These are fine collector quality, 19th century military rifles in excellent all original condition. Serial no. 88497 and 117509. Gun C) Mauser Model 71/84 Bolt Action Rifle. This was the first German metallic cartridge rifle. Caliber is 11.60Rmm with a 31-1/2" barrel. These were issued approximately 1886. They were modified Model 71s. Serial no. 87742. Matching barrel on frame, mismatched bolt. Dated "1888" on right side, metal is a mix of blue and brown patina with overall age freckling and 1400 meter rear sight. Full length walnut stock is in very good to excellent condition with numerous Imperial proof marks. Excellent bore, perfect action. Nice opportunity for a dealer or collector to get three early, antique, military rifles.
