MARBLES GLADSTONE MICH., U.S.A. no. 2 P safety axe. Total length including handle and axe blade is 10-1/2". Safety guard marked "MARBLE ARMS & MFG. CO. GLADSTONE MICH., U.S.A. PAT'D 1898". Handled in checkered hard rubber with Marbles emblem on both scales. Safety guard in working order. Axe pick also in working order complete with safety slide button. A beautiful example of a safety axe. Circa 1908 to 1920 and condition is near mint.
