Gun A) Reconverted Model 1816 Type I Springfield musket, dated "1818." Lock has some replaced modern parts, shows heavy use overall, with scattered areas of freckling. Stock has several repairs, especially around lock. Gun B) U.S. Model 1842 musket, dated "1850." Barrel has brown patina with some restoration at the breach, and scattered areas of spotting. Lock very good with even brown patina and clear markings. Stock with many scattered marks from use, losses to forend and replaced muzzle band. Ramrod missing.
