This lot consists of a clay bust of President Abraham Lincoln. The manner that the artist has depicted President Lincoln, shows the viewer all of the strokes that he took to make and form this bust. In this representation of President Lincoln, he appears sad and looks down towards the ground. By having the President shown in this manner, it was most likely done after his assassination. On the verso of the bust, the artist's signature is present on the collar of his shirt. Overall the piece is in good condition with normal wear present, along with losses, chips, and a hole in his chin.
