Made in 1947. Standard early post-war Model 70 in popular caliber. All original with matching bolt number. Features brown barrel, hooded ramp front sight, rear sight slot filler, checkered steel buttplate and hand checkered one piece pistol grip straight comb walnut stock. Barrel has rust blue finish and frame has matte finish. Retains 95% high polish on floor plate and trigger guard. Over 95% on barrel and frame with a few minor storage scuffs. Stock is in excellent condition with just a few minor abrasions. Rifle is topped with see through mounts and a Simmons scope which is a fine scope, but this rifle would look much better with period correct optics and mounts. Strong bore and fine action.
