SSP sign mounted on a can with a neon border. Advertising for the economy passenger train that ran between Los Angeles and Chicago beginning January 16, 1916 with a pause due to the Depression from January 4, 1931 until May 10, 1936 and its final run on February 19, 1949. A sign of this color scheme would have been used as the train's signature placard between the resume of operation in 1936 and the beginning of WWII. Sign was not drilled for neon, as it is attached through the mounting holes. Great graphic showing a cowboy riding a horse. Sign has some edge wear and loss to the gloss in the field.

Condition: (8).

Item Dimensions: 20-1/2"T x 41"W x 8"D.
