Manufactured in 1906. This early model features the "screen door" front slide checking, Colt pony in left rear circle, fixed sights, blue finish, round hammer, Colt gutta percha grips and square frame with lanyard. Pistol has sharp legends, slide is basically grey patina, frame exhibits 30% original high polish blue with balance patina, no color on hammer. Unmarked magazine. Excellent grips. Fine action and strong bore. Colt Factory letter lists serial no. 12383 shipped to the Seattle Hardware Co. on April 26th, 1906.
