This is a "Correct Weight" scale, manufactured by Kimball of Elmira, New York in the 20th century. The measuring dial is made of glass, allowing the interior mechanism to be completely visible with two charts describing the average weight of a male and female. The body is entirely cast iron, showing significant wear with verdigris throughout and certain sections are completely black. The base is also cast iron, topped with cast aluminum with "Kimball" embossed at the center. Does not include keys.
