Complete globe on milk glass body. Possibly the only known true example of this Globe. The story told on this globe is that it was found in a Bulk Plant in the 1970's in Chanute, Kansas. It was held by one owner since found. I removed the lenses from the body to examine each lens, and saw quite a bit of age oxidation on each lens, as well as areas of what looked to be marks from the original mesh of a silk screening. Both lenses are fired on, and do not scratch or scrape. When you run a coin across the back of the lens, all that changes is you see a light amount of color change due to surface removal of some of the oxidation. Both lenses are in excellent condition with only a slight amount of wear along the outer edge and a couple light discoloration areas in the coloring of the lens. After speaking with several Globe Enthusiasts about this particular piece, as well as its history, we believe that this is the one known example of this globe. Please examine carefully.
