Tony Gwynn hit #3082 Game Used Baseball used to pass Cap Anson the original 3000 hit club member. While there are various reported hit totals for Anson, Major League Baseball recognizes 3081 as his total. Bud Selig baseball is rubbed up for game use and neatly in pen is written "5/23/00 Hit #3082 Pass Anson".
