This beautifully engraved large caliber New Line, serial No. 5275, retains nearly all of its original period possibly factory nickel. There is one spot underneath the frame where nickel has flaked and slightly patinated, and one spot on cylinder which is eroded. Engraving is crisply executed throughout, nearly full coverage with scrolls and panels. Base pin retains much original bluing. Hammer has bright nitre blue on saddle. Bore is mirror bright. Ivory grips have beautiful mellow patination and appear to be original to the gun. Grip screw retains bright nitre blue. A very fine example of this model.
