This very attractive, smallest of the Colt revolvers has a barrel with nearly all its original bright bluing and a perfect etched panel "Colt New .22". Cylinder has much of the original bright blue with some very minor erosion. British proofs in each flute and under the barrel. Frame retains almost 100% bright nickel with little, if any, wear. Saddle of hammer, frame and grip screws are blued. Ivory grips have most attractive age patina with extremely minor, tight age cracks around screw escutcheons. Revolver is cased in an original Moroccan leather covered French-fitted English case with purple lining in lid. Gilt stamped in oval "Colt's Fire Arms Co. London S.W/14 Pall Mall". A prize for the collector of Colt New Lines.
