Manufactured in 1874. This fantastic revolver, serial number 6969, retains nearly 100% of its original Colt factory bright nickle finish, aside from some very minor flaking where the side plate was improperly removed at one time. Both sides of the hammer retain nitre blue finish. Figured walnut grips retain nearly all of their original factory varnish. Face of cylinder is still bright with some minor marring where cylinder pin was removed but nickel is still present. Mirror-like bore. Fine, original English style case is in fine condition with original blue lining, including a cleaning rod and oil bottle. Most of these minty Cloverleafs have English proofs, this one does not.
