This very rare engine includes a double boiler with a whistle and original round smokestack. The engines are made of two complete cylinders, pistons, cross-heads and connecting rods. This toy was modeled after the double engines in use in nearly all of the cotton factories of its day in the USA. Introduced ca. 1890 and continued in production into 1906. In its original box (no cover). Some heat damage to the boiler stand paint and some typical flaking of paint as was common on engine of this era.
