This toy was advertised in the Youth’s Companion magazine in 1928 “this Empire Magnetic Power Engine looks like a Corliss Steam Engine and operates like the Corliss Steam Engine-but because electricity is used for “steam”, it develops enough more power to make an ordinary steam or battery engine run backwards.”. The Magnetic Motor is located in the faux boiler. With an excellent Metal Ware Corp name plate.
