"The Hunting Camp". Andreas Roth (German/American, 1872 to 1949). Signed "Andreas Roth" at lower left and dated 1932. A wonderful rendition of a hunting camp in the woods of California in early fall. Competently executed, the brushstroking shows the artist’s surety of hand. Born in Germany, Roth moved to California in the 1930s to escape Hitler. He is known for his Western landscapes and has work in the Orange County, CA Museum.
