Lot contains: A) Pressed black fur felt body with a polished black leather band around the lower edge of the helmet. Brass cavalry side buttons, plume holder, and cavalry eagle front plate. Yellow horsehair plume and complete yellow cords, missing upper cord rings. Tan leather sweatband with Wm H. Horstmann Bros 1902 contract stamp. CONDITION: Excellent. B) Pressed black fur felt body with a polished black leather band around the lower edge of the helmet. Brass cavalry side buttons, plume holder, and 7th Cavalry eagle front plate, replaced adjustable chin strap. Yellow horsehair plume and complete yellow cords. Tan leather sweatband with light contractors stamp. CONDITION: Brass vent ring and large interior spike plate are missing making the spike base and plume holder loose.
