Released under pseudonym of Bubble Inc, Topps distanced itself from any backlash that might occur from customers. This is a very rare empty 1¢ wax box which shows Frankenstein on the front and another monster tickling his feet with a feather. It shows other monsters on the sides of the box. Box has been meticulously glued back together and is missing one side panel but there is a side panel present to use and make a copy. The lot also includes two very rare wrappers, a 1¢ and a 5¢. The 5¢ wrapper has a little tearing on the left end, the 1¢ is complete and very nice. Includes an near complete set of the 66 card set; missing numbers 1, 7, 32, and 58. Also includes 12 duplicate cards. All cards have some glue staining on the bottom as this lot came from The Fleer Double Bubble Archive Books. Company description cards says "Funny Monsters 1963 Bubbles Inc. Each pack contains one card and one slab of gum, Series #1 - 66." Even though it says 1963 on the description card and on the bottom of the box, this set was originally released in 1959, and re-released later in a different format in 1973. Very rare.
