Comes from the Fleer Double Bubble Archive Books, including the archive description card which has "1965 5¢ for 24 packs in a box, 5 cards per pack plus a slab of gum". Card series no. 1 to no. 55, the most popular non-sport post war card issue. Extremely rare and difficult to find. Created by Sherwood Schwartz, the same man who created the Brady Bunch, "Gilligan's Island" ran three years; the first year, 1965 in black and white and the last two in color. This issue is from the first year. The box has been meticulously glued back together with some tearing near the top of Gilligan's hat, marked "1965 Gladasya-uatv" and shows the Skipper, Thurston Howell III, and Lovey on the side of the box. There are four wrappers, which have some glue staining and one or two tears. There is one complete set of 55 cards, and another set of 50 cards which is missing five cards. Half of the cards have glue on the front and the other half have glue on the back of the card. Some of the cards have some black archive paper stuck to them.
