Charming mechanical birdcage with working wind-up mechanism and operating on/off switch. The birds are sitting atop a floral perch and properly chirp, turning their heads side to side and tail ends slightly moving up and down. The feathers are nicely colored and remain intact. The birdcage is finished in a gold color with a lovely Victorian gilt base. Made in France. Minor to moderate wear throughout.
