Rare and Important Faberge Two-Color Gold-Mounted Gilloche Enamel Cigarette Case by workmaster Henrik Wigstrom, St. Petersburg, Russia, 1908-1917. Of upright oval/cylindrical form, the surface is enameled in translucent powder blue over engine-turned silver swags within leaf-chased gold bands, the rim mount set with seed pearls. It has a cabochon sapphire push-button thumb-piece, and is struck with the workmaster's initials "HW" and Fabergé in Cyrillic, 56 and 88 standards, and scratched inventory number of "21390". The case is 3 1/8". There are a few minor scratches in the enamel with tiny spots of successful restoration at the edges. Crisp clean example.
