Boldly patterned Damascus barrels are engraved "COLT'S PT. F. A. MFG. CO. HARTFORD CT. U.S.A." on game rib with dolls head extension. Case hardened top lever action is fitted with bar locks having deeply chamfered serpentine rebounding hammers. Action is engraved with sprays of scroll within line borders. Lockplates have matching scroll. Both locks are engraved "Colt's Pt. F. A. Mfg. Co.". Top lever and trigger plate are blued, as is trigger guard which has scroll on bow and serial number on tang. Lightly marbled European walnut round knob pistol grip buttstock measures 14-1/8" over Rampant Colt embossed checkered hard rubber buttplate. Point pattern checkering wraps over top of grip. A vacant silver oval is on toe line. Matching splinter forend with ebony inlet schnabeled tip has modified Deeley release. CONDITION: Fine. Barrels retain most of their original Damascus finish. Action and locks retain approximately 60% original case color. Top lever and trigger plate retain over 60% of their blue. Trigger guard with about 40% blue, is considerably browned at grip. Stocks retain most of what appears to be their original finish with some added oil, with numerous scratches and marks. Checkering is somewhat worn and dirty. There are some chips of wood missing from left barrel channel of forend at mid-point and at tip. Bores are very good with light pitting throughout. Action is tight. Locks are excellent. MGM29.
