Hyde & Goodrich were agents in New Orleans, Louisiana for Tryon. Four inch octagonal barrel is deeply struck Philadelphia on right flat, Hyde & Goodrich NO on left flat. Silver fore sight. Back action lock with sparse engraving marked Tryon. Hammer engraved en suite. Walnut three-quarter stock with silver ramrod pipes, silver floral butt cap, sparsely engraved iron trigger guard. CONDITION: Barrel has deep aged patina. Lock patinated en suite with barrel. Dolphin-form hammer with fresh raised rust. Mounts with deep, even age brown. Uncheckered stock with coat of old varnish. No serious damage and minor marks. Ramrod replaced. Action is very crisp. Bore is fair. An unusual and likely Confederate used Deringer. From the Robert Sadler Collection.
