Desirable 7.62mm Model 1946 manufactured by Madsen under contract For Chile. Receiver has been cut and has been skillfully welded back together. Receiver has been refinished, but still retains clear markings. Left side shows the Chilean crest and reads "Ejercito De Chile/ F.A. Madsen Serie No. 456/ M.1946 CAL. 7.62mm". Small portions of the receiver markings were obliterated when the receiver was originally cut. Matching numbers include the receiver, rear sight, and trigger housing. Magazine retains matte green finish. Bolt and monopod are not present. CONDITION: Metal components show wear and thinning to finish all around. Stock shows scattered handling and storage marks, but retains the majority of applied varnish. Overall a great example of a 7.62mm Madsen Model 1946 manufactured under contract for Chile. MW
