Made by the Spencer Repeating Arms Company Boston, Massachusetts between 1863 and 1865. Six groove rifled barrel with rear windage sight and fixed front. Case hardened action with Spencer address and patent date of March 6, 1860. Tube magazine in buttstock with iron buttplate. Sling bar and ring on left side of action. Walnut wood stocks with no visible cartouches and sling swivel. CONDITION: Condition consistent with heavy usage with some light pitting on metal parts. Bore is shootable. Wood has heavy dings and usage marks. Mechanics are good. Great example of a Civil War era Spencer. DLM
