Nice image of Roma ship. Comes with new calendar pad but sign is from the 1920s. Roma was built by Societa Anonima Ansaldo, Sestri, Ponente, Genoa, Italy. Tonnage: 32,583. Dimensions: 666' x 82'. Quadruple-screw, 21 knots. Steam turbines. Launched, February 26, 1926. From keel to navigating bridge 98 feet. Her 8 steam turbines were geared to four shafts. Fitted with 36 lifeboats. Had 13 watertight compartments. Maiden voyage: Genoa-Naples-New York on September 21, 1926. Transferred to "Italia" Line ownership in 1932. Acquired by the Italian Government early in World War II.
