Lot consists of: (A) Manufactured 1887, Springfield Model 1884 Trapdoor rifle, .45-70 with Buffington rear sight. 1-piece walnut stock with a trace of inspectors cartouche on right side and solid butt plate. CONDITION: Fair with exterior being mixture of patina and light surface corrosion. Bore is dark with strong rifling. (B) Manufactured 1892, Springfield Model 1888 Trapdoor rifle with Buffington sight and round ramrod bayonet. Walnut stock with circle "P" inspection to rear of trigger guard. Buttplate with trap for cleaning tools. CONDITION: Good with excellent bore. Exterior has 30% blue with mottled patina. Wood lightly sanded with no cartouche remaining. (C) Manufactured 1874. Springfield 1873 Cadet Trapdoor rifle. Caliber .45-70 with 2-click tumbler, high arch breech block, and smaller buttplate. Has sling swivels and stacking swivel. Traces of "EAA" cartouche on left side of stock. CONDITION: Good with 20% blue finish with mottled patina. Bore is good and action operates properly. Stock has been recontoured at wrist for shooting. Minor crack in stock at rear of tang and rear of lock. Missing rear sling swivel. TDW
