1911 vintage Model 1885 Schuetzen Rifle serial number 98956. 30" number 4 weight octagon barrel. Chambered in desirable .22 Long Rifle. Deluxe grade full figured walnut stock and forearm, checkered in Winchester "H" pattern. High comb stock with cheekrest and Schuetzen, Swiss style buttplate. Mounted with Winchester mid-range tang sight, A-5 scope, and spirit level front sights. Double set triggers. Schuetzen style loading lever. Forearm mounted "tuning fork" style palm rest. CONDITION: This once beautiful Winchester target rifle was in close proximity to a house fire. Though not directly in the fire it suffered the consequences of the heat and water damage. The wood survived in remarkable condition, however the forearm has a 2" crack on left side, and the stock has cracks and swelling around both top and bottom tangs. The metal components have an overall freckling appearance, of which most can be removed with proper cleaning. The bore is excellent and bright. The action operates correctly. Optics are dark. -MKS-
