SSP. An excellent example of this early Neon Sign for The General Tire Company. Sign shows excellent color & gloss throughout the field, with only a couple of minor flea bite type chips in the lettering, as well as some minimal surface scratching in the field. The outer edge shows some minor chipping at a few of the mounting holes, and the bottom edge shows an added metal band around the red border that hides a few minor chips at the bottom mounting holes. The neon is in excellent working condition, and glows bright red. The sign is mounted on a nicely made new metal can that displays the sign well. Overall an excellent piece of General Tire Advertising. Sign is Dated 1939 and Marked Property Of General Tire & Rubber Co., Akron, Ohio.
