Unmarked parlor-style rifle with a turn breech rimfire action system, most likely European in origin. Brass rifled half-octagon half-round flared muzzle barrel with protected pin front sight and adjustable rear elevated sight. Floral engraved nickel plated turning bolt system with brass bolt knob which when turned allows for cartridge insertion and bolt removal. Manual cartridge extractor. Brass floral engraved frame integral with barrel. Action controlled by single set trigger set by pushing trigger forward. Highly figured walnut stock with brass buttplate and floral pattern bordered fine line checkering and dished style cheekpiece. Brass trigger guard with bow having floral engraving pattern. European style button sling swivel in stock and steel bow swivel mounted on barrel. Unique masterpiece of engraving and engineering. CONDITION: Overall good with brass turning a soft golden yellow color. Action shows sharp engraving with most finish remaining. Set trigger does not set properly. Wood has small chip up from toe with some scratches and handling marks. Checkering has sharp but slightly worn appearance. Good bore and mechanics. Wonderful unique gun. DLM

CORRECTION: Title amended to clarify caliber. Given the form of the rifle, this lovely piece is likely of Swiss make.
