Exquisite Pre-War Hammmerless German double rifle built in 1926. Blued "Krupp Steel" rifled barrels dated on barrel flats "8/26" with German proofs and caliber "9mm 74" which has also been marked on barrels as "9.3 x74 R" by forearm lug (looks to be a later stamping). Barrels have matted rib with ramp front sight and rear fixed sight with extended range flip sight. Barrels have claw bases with a Kahles 1.5x to 4.5x duplex reticle scope mounted in claw rings. Barrels have "Oak leaf" chisel engraved pattern on barrel lug and on the breeches. Coin finish chisel engraved frame with "Oak Leaf" pattern full coverage engraving with recessed barrel lugs. Gun has nickel plated double triggers each of which is a set trigger. Blued engraved opening lever with safety having "SICHER" in gold. Classic horn trigger guard. European walnut pistol grip stock with engraved steel grip cap, cheekpiece and ebony "heart and diamond" inlays on each mortise with woven pattern bakelite buttplate. Walnut checkered splinter forearm with horn triangle inlay and engraved latch release. CONDITION: 90% barrel blue remaining from and old reblue possibly when claw mounts were installed with rib seeming to have extra installed piece. 90% coin finish remaining with sharp engraving. 90% original hand rubbed finish with small handling marks and dings. Scope is clear. Good bores with good mechanics. DLM
