Manufactured in 1906. This is the first successful double action that Colt manufactured with a run of just 166,849 guns being manufactured from 1877 through 1909. This gun has a 1/2" half moon front sight. Two line address on top of the barrel and a rolled caliber marking on the left of the barrel. Three line patent date on the left front of the receiver with a Rampant Colt logo. Matching serial numbers on the frame, trigger guard, and the back strap. The Two piece ivory grips have the initials JJ on the inside of the right grip. CONDITION: The action works in both single and double action. The gun locks up and indexes fine. Gun retains 60% of the original factory blue finish. Niter blue on the hammer and trigger is about 80%. Generous amounts of the original case color remain on the frame. Fair bore with some slight frosting in the lands and grooves. REW
