1882 vintage Colt Frontier Six Shooter single action revolver, serial number 77196. 7 - 1/2" round barrel chambered in .44-40 WCF with blade front sight, single line barrel address, frame notch rear sight, and desirable acid etched panel on left side reading "COLT FRONTIER SIX SHOOTER". Low profile ejector rod head. 1-piece plain ivory grips. Nickel plated finish. CONDITION: Very good, with a slight majority of the original nickel plating remaining with areas of flaking and finish loss on typically seen areas that wear first such as barrel near chamber area, cylinder, and gas shield. Grips are very good with no major signs of distress, are slightly shy to frame, and have appropriately yellowed with age. Action is tight and crisp. Bore is frosted with consistent light abrasion throughout from use during the area with corrosive black powder and well-defined rifling. TON
